This really is a familiar situation. The supper was still being cooked. Lured by the scent of beef stew, you felt kind of hungery. It had not to be that much hungery to make one uncomfortable. "Just a taste", you thought, and went to the kitchen. The beef was not thoroughly done. Instead, you took a biscuit.
The problem of compensation is that if you compromise to the desire and get the biscuit instead of the stew, the satisfaction is also reduced when you finally have the stew. That aside, the desire grows wildly if left untended for long. Which is even worse for the satisfaction of having that stew.
So, is it worth it to take the biscuit?
It depends on how good the biscuit tastes...
